  • Support for the creative priorities

    50% for Amplifying First Nations Leadership, 54% for Empowering the Next Generation, 63% for Building Connected Communities, 54% for Growing the Creative Economy, 58% for Backing Creative Careers, and the highest support at 67% for Unlocking Creative Spaces.

  • Captures the various voices of the community

    21% of respondents were largely positive about the inclusiveness of the draft Our Creative Future 2025–2035, with 33% rating it extremely inclusive and 21% very inclusive. Many highlighted opportunities to strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation and to better reflect Ipswich’s multicultural and rural diversity.

  • Perception of the Draft Strategy

    58% of respondents viewed the draft Our Creative Future 2025–2035 positively, with 25% rating it very good. A majority of 54% found the document clear. Support for the 10‑year vision was strong, with 42% strongly agreeing and 57% expressing overall support for Ipswich’s creative future.

  • Key themes and benefits

    Feedback highlighted strong support for grassroots initiatives, greater inclusion of First Nations and multicultural voices, and improved creative infrastructure and artist support. Overall, 29% of respondents saw the draft strategy as extremely beneficial and 25% as very beneficial. Many agreed the framework is inspiring, aligns with local values, and reflects what matters most to the community.

How you shared

We developed a draft Our Creative Future 2025–2035 based on ideas, themes, and priorities shared by the community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Arts and Cultural Vision during Phase 2.

Consultation ran from 29 October to 10 November, inviting the community to review the draft and provide feedback on whether it reflected Ipswich’s creative identity and aspirations. This feedback helped shape the final vision, guiding how arts, culture, and creativity will continue to grow and thrive across the region.
