About the Ipswich Arts Advisory Group

Ipswich Arts Advisory Group (IAAG) is a collective of volunteer community members who have a passion for the development and growth of the creative community in Ipswich. IAAG is a key deliverable of the Creative Industries Action Plan with the objective to:

  • advance arts and culture across Ipswich Local Government Area
  • contribute ideas and recommendations on key arts and cultural portfolios of Ipswich City Council
  • actively network and build connections and opportunities for Ipswich creatives
  • provide structure through which aspirations of the Ipswich arts and creative community can be articulated to Council.

    The Queensland Writers Fellowships are run as part of the annual Queensland Literary Awards. This year IAAG member Melanie Saward was one of three authors selected to receive funding towards her next project “The Next Chapter"
