The community was able to share their personal experience at Flinders-Goolman, and provide feedback on elements of the draft Masterplan, including the proposed:

  • Ward Road day use area
  • Themed trails

  • What's important

    Comments consistently reiterated the importance of balancing recreational activities and improving access while conserving the environmental and cultural elements of the estate.

  • Wards Road Day Use Area

    While most respondents were supportive of the proposed Wards Road Day Use Area, there were mixed responses in the design approach. However, commentary typically prioritised facilities that improve accessibility, and used a minimalist design to compliment the natural environment.

  • Themed trails

    Respondents provided a variety of ideas for the proposed themed trails, while suggested additional themes that could focus on animals found at Flinders-Goolman, health and fitness, and caring for the environment.

  • Overall thoughts

    Overall, respondents were generally supportive of the proposed vision (81%) and masterplan (69%). There were no respondents who were completely opposed.
