Ipswich Art Gallery Design

Background

The Ipswich Art Gallery is one of the city's most visited cultural institutions, welcoming audiences of all ages through exhibitions, programs, events and creative learning experiences. The gallery plays a significant role in connecting people with art, culture and community life and as Ipswich continues to grow, there is an opportunity to expand its capacity,

The Ipswich Art Gallery consist of three distinct buildings:

  • Ipswich Art Gallery
  • Ipswich Community Gallery
  • Ipswich Art Workshop

Funding secured through the Australian Government's urban Precincts and Partnerships Program has enabled Council to investigate and develop concept designs for an expansion which aligns with all projects within the broader Ipswich Central Heart project.

You now have an opportunity to have your say on the design direction of the potential expansion of the Ipswich Art Gallery.
