Key findings

Community feedback has provided valuable insights into what matters most for the Western Growth Corridor. These findings will help guide planning decisions and ensure growth is supported by the right infrastructure, services, and environmental considerations. The three themes below reflect areas the community highlighted as important for shaping a sustainable and connected future.

  • Transport and connectivity

Respondents want safe, well-connected roads and transport options. Upgrading intersections, improving traffic flow, and planning future corridors were seen as critical to support growth and reduce congestion.

  • Infrastructure and services

Respondents want essential services delivered alongside development. Schools, parks, water, and sewerage infrastructure must keep pace with housing growth to create resilient, well-serviced communities.

  • Environment and community character

Respondents want development that protects the rural character and natural environment. Preserving green spaces, safeguarding wildlife habitats, and creating walkable, inclusive neighbourhoods were key priorities.
