Project background

Ipswich City Council is preparing a Place Plan for Booval.

The Booval Place Plan will set a shared vision and action plan for the heart of Booval, focused around the area between Booval Fair and the train station.

As Booval grows and changes, this plan will help guide future opportunities, projects and investment in a way that reflects the values of the local community.

This Plan will be delivered in partnership between community, council, local businesses, service providers and others.

We want to hear from the people who know Booval best. Whether you live, work, run a business, or spend time here, your local knowledge can help shape the future of Booval.

Share what makes Booval unique by entering the Capture Booval Photo Competition. Entries close 31 August 2026.

Have your say and contribute to the Booval Place Plan. Engagement closes 20 September 2026.
